The Downing Street Story

Robert has worked at the heart of the British government’s communications machine for over five years, working directly for two Prime Ministers and one Foreign Secretary. He has specialised in creating video-led communications. During COVID, he established the government’s daily briefing program, live from Downing Street, and directed national addresses.
Robert has worked across the British government's national and international network in upskilling video content creators and led a core production team in London. He is currently working with GCSi (Government Communication Service International) in implementing strategic technical and creative digital communications and media operations with ally PMOs.
Voluntarily, Robert is a Reservist in the 77th Brigade in the British Army, which specializes in information activities.
In his personal life, Robert has a fascination for British Overseas Territories and advises on communications for Friends of the British Overseas Territories.
Robert studied Journalism & Broadcasting at Salford University, which led to him being a journalist for the Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph, and Bloomberg, specializing in video journalism and production; responding to breaking news stories and international affairs.
